Love all the info. I am related through Mary Hoyle, daughter to Michael who is son to Peter. I love the history and wish I knew this much about all my ancestors.

I am in the beginning stages of initiating my family's own website, family of Victor Alvin Hoyle, Casar, NC (long overdue; although I know nothing about what I am doing and learning as I go along . . . certainly a work in progress)and came across your website. I thank you for your time and efforts in putting this website together; I will be looking forward to visiting often. Kindest regards, Donna L. Stanley (daughter of Edythe Hoyle-Irvine, who is the daughter of Victor Alvin Hoyle from Casar, NC). Thank you!

doing family genealogy (for my husbands side of the family) and came upon your site. He is second generation Hoyle to America, his grandfather coming through Ellis Island in 1907 aboard the Campania at the age of 24. We know he was born in Yorkshire England. His father Henry from Yorkshire, England and mother Emma Elliot from London in the mid 1850's. So far, that's about it. Hoping to find a lot more information in my search!

Great site! I am a Hoyle raised in northern Illinois now residing with my two son's in Tucson, AZ. I was always told our family originated from the Alsace/Lorraine area in Europe, spent some time in Ireland then came across to Pennsylvania, finally settling in northern Illinois. Who knows. lol.

Look forward to hearing others stories.

Wow, it's great to see a site dedicated to the Hoyle history. My three brothers and I live in Maryland, not particularly large from that point on. Yet, i cant wait to read more about the history of the Hoyle name, and I appreciate the creation.

Hello, oh boy this is awsome. I have been looking for a great way to keep track of the hoyle history to share with our children one day. I am very proud to be a Hoyle. My husband and I come from large families so their is much to share.

I want to welcome everyone to Hoyle History. I hope that you enjoy your visits. My goal is to create an educational resource for everyone who carries the Hoyle family name, whether your ancestors were from the British Isles or from Germany - or even if you simply married someone with that surname.
Please feel free to enter your information and message to this guest book. We look forward to hearing from you.
